While pre-marital and marital counselling focuses specifically on the relationship between two partners — helping them build or repair their bond — family counselling looks at the family as a system. It explores how each member’s emotions, roles, and interactions affect one another.

In marital counselling, the focus is on strengthening the couple’s emotional and relational connection. In family counselling, the work includes parents, children, siblings — sometimes even grandparents — depending on the situation. Our practical module 

At
Reboot , we know that deciding to come for family counselling can feel like a big step especially when you’ve never done anything like this before.

That’s why we’ve made our process calm, respectful, and comfortable, so every family member feels safe and supported from the moment they walk in. It all begins with a first session where we meet with the whole family. This is not about pointing fingers or placing blame. It’s simply a space for each member to share their thoughts, concerns, and hopes. Our trained family counsellor gently guides the conversation, making sure everyone has a voice and feels heard.

 After this initial session, we spend time getting to know the unique story of your family. Depending on the situation, we might meet with certain members individually or in smaller groups like just parents, or just siblings so that everyone can speak freely and express themselves without pressure. Over time, we work together to explore what’s really happening beneath the surface.

We help identify the patterns, communication issues, or unspoken conflicts that may be causing tension at home. You’ll learn healthier ways to express emotions, set boundaries, and understand each other’s perspectives. We don’t focus on who’s “right” or “wrong” we focus on helping your family feel more connected and understood. 

As sessions progress, you’ll start noticing small but meaningful changes: fewer misunderstandings, calmer conversations, and moments of genuine closeness that may have felt missing for a while.

Some families come for a few sessions and feel refreshed, while others choose to continue for longer term support. Either way, we move at your family’s pace, never rushing the healing process.

Availabe consultation formats 

At Reboot , our Family counselling services are currently offered exclusively through in person sessions at our counselling center in Tirupur . This setting allows us to provide a warm, confidential, and emotionally supportive environment where family members can engage in meaningful, face to face dialogue.
Please note: Online video counselling and tele counselling are not available for these services at this time, as we believe in t he effectiveness of in person connection for relationship focused therapy.
